Isaiah 55:8-9

8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the LORD.

9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

In this passage I am reminded that God has a much higher calling for me than what society would have me believe and often times what I accept.  I have written on this many times in my daily devotionals and journal.  The calling God has for my thoughts and actions can be overwhelming, but when it is attained it is incredible.

To have such lofty goals and boundaries, set by someone else, really pushes me to attain those objectives.  I need to realize that these goals flow throughout my life.  It is not only sexual purity that is at stake, but every aspect of my life.  I am called to a much higher level of responsibility and judgment than I realize.
