2 Thessalonians 3:3

3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

Today’s verse provides more hopeful words from the scripture regarding everyday struggles.  It is often time hard for me to see the Lords protection and strength when faced with a struggle or temptation.  Just last night I was reading from a book on purity that addressed God’s authority over me.  Once I realize his authority then it should be much easier to make moral and honorable decisions regarding those things that are sinful.  This covering of authority in essence provides that strength and protection from sin.  If I submit to the Lord and live under his authority then I no longer have the right to choose temptation and sin without His approval.  I can take strength in that, and let it be my protection.
